Rising Up

It’s best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.

~ Anne   Baxter

Attended a bursary presentation tea today for the Phoenix Centre. Four incredible young women received bursaries to attend university. These incredible young women have risen up out of the “ashes” of addiction (drug, alcohol etc). to remain clean and sober for two years. They deserved much more that bursaries.Wouldn’t we all want to be renewed?

I would have preferred to have the failure or realized the failure earlier in life!

“A phoenix is a mythical bird with a colorful…tail…near the end of (its life) it builds itself a nest of twigs that then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix…arises, reborn anew to live again” Wikipedia
